YogaBirth - The Ultimate Pregnancy Yoga Experience

Updated: Nov 26

When I began working with pregnant women back in 2014, it quickly became clear to me that holistic care during pregnancy is essential, not just for physical wellbeing but for emotional and mental preparation too. Over the years, I’ve guided countless women through pregnancy and birth preparation, offering them knowledge, confidence and tools to help them thrive during this transformative time.

In 2019, I decided to expand my offerings and trained as a YogaBirth teacher. I chose YogaBirth because its approach aligned perfectly with my vision of fully supporting pregnant women. It goes beyond the physical practice of yoga and integrates antenatal education, mindfulness and emotional support into every session. This is why I’m so passionate about the YogaBirth method as the classes offer a space where women can feel seen, heard and held.

Here are some of the key elements that set YogaBirth classes apart, making it the ultimate pregnancy yoga experience for expectant mums.

A Blend of Yoga and Antenatal Education

In every class I teach, I blend yoga practice with evidence-based antenatal education. My goal is to give you the tools to prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for birth. We don’t just stretch and breathe, we explore the physiology of labour, the role of hormones and the importance of making informed decisions about your care.

I’ve seen firsthand how this combination builds confidence. When you understand how your body works, what your options are and how to advocate for yourself and adapt to different circumstances, you’re empowered to stay calm, navigate challenges and make choices that align with your values.

Tailored Support for Your Changing Needs

Every pregnancy is different and every body is different. My YogaBirth classes are designed to adapt to you and your unique journey. Whether you’re managing backache, pelvic discomfort or simply need time to unwind, I’ll guide you through movements and breathing techniques that support your body’s changes.

The yoga practice also incorporates movements and positions that can support labour by making space in the pelvis, working with gravity and encouraging alignment between your baby and your unique pelvic shape. These movements are practical, purposeful and deeply intuitive - just as birth should be.

A Safe Space for Connection and Community

Pregnancy is a journey filled with both joys and challenges and that’s why every YogaBirth class offers a welcoming space for connection, understanding and support. At the start of each session, we have informal discussions around pregnancy and birth where you can share your experiences, ask questions and connect with other mothers-to-be.

I’ve had clients tell me how much this aspect of the class means to them. It’s not just about yoga, it’s about having a community; a safe, supportive environment where you can have your birth questions answered and share your thoughts and experiences in a judgement-free space.

An Experienced Teacher You Can Trust

As a YogaBirth teacher with years of experience working with pregnant women, I bring both expertise and empathy to every class. I’ve worked with women facing a wide range of challenges, from anxiety to physical discomfort, and I deeply understand the importance of personalised care.

My training with YogaBirth, combined with my background in hypnobirthing and birth education, allows me to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach. I’m here to support you on your pregnancy journey, ensuring you leave each session feeling nurtured, informed and empowered.

Preparation for Any Type of Birth

YogaBirth isn’t just for those planning a natural birth. The skills we develop- calm breathing practice, relaxation techniques, effective decision making - are equally valuable whether you’re preparing for an unmedicated physiological birth, an induction or a caesarean. Whatever your birth preferences or circumstances, you’ll leave with tools to navigate the process with more knowledge and confidence.

Why Choose YogaBirth Classes with me?

YogaBirth is more than just yoga; it’s a complete preparation for the journey through pregnancy, birth and into motherhood. Through movement, breath work and antenatal education, I aim to empower you to approach birth with confidence, clarity and self-assurance. My classes are a sanctuary, a space where you can focus on yourself and your baby, while feeling part of a supportive community of other mums-to-be. Even if it’s the one thing you do for yourself each week until your baby arrives, it will have a profound impact on your wellbeing and preparation for birth.

If you’re ready to experience the difference, I’d love to welcome you to my weekly classes. You'll learn to nurture your body, and mind and build your confidence as you prepare for one of life’s most incredible transitions.
